Hey! I'm new here. Absolutely adore muse and radiohead, as well as Athlete, Bloc Party and others (i can't think of right now.)Even thought I'm a girl from oz (of 15 years), I love Brit rock and envy all you guys who get to go to rock concerts every month. There are only like two every year here!

So this is pretty much the least active community ever.
I really like the piano party in Butterflies and Hurricanes. I wish there was a book that had it or something.

I have recently gotten into Radiohead music and was wondering what everybody's favourite Radiohead's song is? I am from Australia but have to say British bands rock the most. I love Radiohead, Travis, Coldplay, Cornershop, Oasis, Placebo, Franz and all the other greaT indie/alt music. Would love to hear from fellow music lovers.

I'm tres irritated, guys, Franz Ferdinand are touring but they've managed to completely ignore a quater of their British fanbase. What's with the "no touring in the West or Wales" attitude? They've just zoomed right past Bristol, Birmingham AND Cardiff straight to Exter, which is 2 hours drive away at the least! Wankers in an incredably talented way!

i was reading some of the old comments on here. Someone said "Led Zeppelin, NO WAY," as for Muse's influence. Sad thing is, you are horribly wrong. I saw them yesterday and surprise, they covered Immigrant Song, by Led Zeppelin. They were out walking around & i am almost postive i heard one of them say how their roots are Led Zeppelin. Who knows? I only heard it myself.

i saw muse yesterday for the first time. i am kind upset b/c of the fact that the music on their cds cant be recreated. i thought surely they would play the keys, but instead it was looped on the computer. sigh. i will have pictures tommorrow. i know radiohead never fakes stuff.

Okay. You comment is a littel far fetch. If a person limits him/herself to one type of music, they will miss out on a lot of stuff. Thom York got the title of his new album by a sign that he saw while touring in America. He is not part of any program nor does he have websites in his CD jacket. You said muse doesn't talk about depressing stuff? think again. I listen to the muse when i get depressed simply b/c it relates with my mood the most. "endlessly," omg dude. that song depresses the hell out of me. It just has that eiry haunt to it, to being a song somene listens to right before he or she kills themselves. A lot of the radiohead fans are really normal people. Just because some of the stuff is moody, doesnt me they are bad. I am really egar to hear which Radiohead Albums you have listed to? If you want to know how someonce could like listening to Muse and Radiohead, Listen to the following Radiohead songs then get back to me: Myxomatosis, 2+2=5 (both from hail to the theif). Subterranean Homesick Alien, Karma Police (OK COMPUTER). I Can't, Vegitable (Pablo Honey). Black Star, Just (the Bends). That should do for you right now. I am a HUGE fan of the following bands :AFI, Phish, TOOL, Radiohead, the CURE, the Dead, APC, Muse, Piebald, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, My Morning Jacket, and Led Zeppelin. Take a look at that diversity. Explore your options. Music is not limited to one type or band.

Crap, that wasn't "badmouthing" by the way, I respect the fact that what Radiohead makes is deffinitly music and so refrains from being shite, I was just pointing out the strangeness of compairing the bands....*ducks her head before she's thrown out* bugger...

Muse AND Radiohead?! [20 Jul 2004|04:06pm]

You see I worship Muse, but I don't understand how people can be drawn to Radiohead. While Muse have their anger and the geniuseness that is Matthew Bellamy playing his guitar and pionioetta-thingy (i.e. the piano), Radiohead have Thom Yorke who spells his name stupidly and constantly complains. And interacts in political movements without incorporating it into his music a la the Manics.

Hi guys.

Am really sorry about the lack of this community, have been really busy with a lot of other stuff and have just forgotten to update.

If anyone can give me any ideas as how to make this community more appealing (and better) Drop me a comment, and I'll try my best!

Sorry once again!
